Short review: It was AWESOME and so much better than expected. Long Review: Booked a four-hour trip (8 a.m. to noon, 08/05/2026) on Magnanimous for myself, my son and two grandsons (ages 9 and 12). Fortunately, it was a beautiful day with clear skies, light winds and plenty of sunshine. My grandsons have never been on a trip like this and were really looking forward to catching “big fish” (something bigger than the trout and largemouth bass they were used to). And WOW, did the Magnanimous deliver! I have been on a number of charter fishing trips and I have to admit, this trip with Capt. Mark Haley and mate Casey far exceeded my expectations. The boat, a 26’ center console, was very clean and well equipped. The friendliness, the smiles and the patience the captain and mate displayed, especially with the boys, was incredible and greatly appreciated. And as for catching fish... they were all striped bass. We had to throw a few back in because they were either too larger or too small than regulations allowed. We did catch our limit of “keepers” (six fish) and had to throw one back in because it was more than we were allowed to keep. We had a great time and highly recommend fishing on the Magnanimous.

We had an awesome time fishing with Captain Mark and Casey! Our group—Rachel, Ella, Scott, and I—booked the 4-hour trip, and it was a great experience from start to finish. Captain Mark was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to keep us on fish the whole trip. Casey was also fantastic—super helpful, patient, and always making sure everyone had what they needed. The atmosphere was relaxed, we caught plenty of fish, and everyone had a blast, regardless of experience level. If you’re looking for a fun day on the water with a great crew, I highly recommend Magnanimous Sport Fishing. We’ll definitely be back!

My name is James. I caught my Striper that allows me to cross one off my bucket list. Capt. Mark and his First Mate were awesome. We picked a beautiful day to go out. Everyone caught a big one and a keeper. Thanks to my friends Ally, Chip, Mike and the crew for a wonderful day and help me complete one off my bucket list.

Mark and his second mate Ryan were wonderful and super knowledgeable. There were six of us - 2 adults, 10 year old and 3 twenty something year olds. We caught 9 fish total- some we kept and some we threw back. Mark takes your experience very seriously and did not disappoint! So warm and friendly too!

My husband took our son and both of our fathers on a trip this week with Captain Mark and his son. They had an awesome experience, caught many fish, and enjoyed the experience all around. They would highly recommend the trip to anyone looking for a fishing trip while visiting the Cape!

My buddies and I had a great experience and a wonderful time with Mark and his mate. Mark was very friendly and easy going making the trip a joy. Helped us catch some monster stripe bass, but we couldn't keep them because they were too big :). Don't hesitate to book a trip.
